Morais abreu

Morais Santos Abreu (born 10 July 1968) is a former Angolan beach volleyball player, Olympian, and one of the pioneers of beach volleyball in Angola. Together with his teammate Emanuel Fernandes, he represented Angola at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, marking a historic milestone for the sport in the country.

In 2023, Morais founded the MAEF Beach Volley School in Angola, which has since emerged as the leading beach volleyball club in the country. Through MAEF, he has played a key role in organizing national and international beach volleyball events at all levels, contributing significantly to the professionalization and growth of the sport in Angola.

Today, Morais serves as Head Coach and Co-Founder of Sand Stars Angola, where he combines Olympic-level experience with long-term athlete development. His work focuses on building a structured pathway from grassroots to elite performance, with the ambition of returning Angola to the Olympic stage through a new generation of athletes.
